Community, Generosity and Giving Back: Our Christmas Food Drive
The Christmas period has officially come to a close, and we’re taking a moment to look back on something we’re extremely proud of that happened just before the holidays — our Christmas Food Drive, which brought our team together to support families in our wider community.
This year, we partnered with FoodCloud, an organisation doing vital work across Ireland by redistributing donated and surplus food to charities and community groups who need it most. With demand rising year on year, we knew this was a chance for us to play a small but meaningful part.
Pulling Together as a Team
In the weeks leading up to Christmas, food donations started to arrive in our Clondalkin and Tougher’s canteens. What began as a few bags quickly turned into something much bigger. Tins, pasta, cereals, tea, coffee, biscuits, and Christmas treats piled up day by day — all thanks to the generosity of our team.
By the time collection wrapped up, we had gathered enough food to fill full vans, ready to be delivered where it was needed most.
From Our Team to the Community
With the help of FoodCloud, all donations were delivered to Quarryvale Family Resource Centre, where they will go directly to supporting local families.
Knowing that the food collected would help relieve some pressure for families during an already difficult time made the entire effort incredibly worthwhile.
A Look Back at the Food Drive
These photos capture just a small part of what made the food drive special — teamwork, generosity, and a shared sense of purpose.
Thank You
A huge thank you to everyone in Hoistech who donated, helped organise collections, or spread the word. Every single contribution mattered.
Thank you as well to FoodCloud for partnering with us and guiding the process, and to Quarryvale Family Resource Centre for the incredible work they do every day supporting the local community.
Looking Ahead
This food drive reminded us of the impact that can be made when people pull together for a good cause. We’re proud of what was achieved and grateful to everyone involved.
Here’s to carrying that same spirit forward — not just at Christmas, but throughout the year.
