Gobo Safety High Definition Projector

Written on 2nd September 2019 by Ben Kelly

Hoistech takes great pride in being Ireland's lifting gear specialist. Safety is of utmost importance in any and all industries. In our latest project, saw us install a 200-watt gobo high definition safety sign projector on a crane suspended 15m in the air.

Our projector lights ensure the safety of pedestrians by projecting safety signs on the floor. The signs inform all employees nearby about the moving load. When used by the crane operator they help the operator position the crane precisely.

The installation process of the projector wasn't straight forward. The projector needs to mount on the crane and ensure the sign projected isn't compromised.

All that makes our overhead crane warning projector signs an excellent choice for every company.

High-quality elements guarantee a long light bulb lifespan and help increase safety in the workplace.

What distinguishes overhead crane projectors from other safety tools is their effectiveness in warning employees.

Compared to traditional audio alarms that are still commonly used in industrial facilities a 200-watt sign is hard to miss or ignore. Forklift drivers, crane operators, and other team members are already exposed to a high level of noise on a daily basis. The loud sound of machines and industrial engines often drowns the alarm what increases the risk of a serious accident for everyone around.

The use of a warning sign eliminates the above problem – the strong light beam is easy to see no matter the level of noise.

For Pedestrians:

Thanks to the special beam all pedestrians nearby are aware of the load movement. The light is easy to spot making the sign an effective indicator of the movement of the load. This allows everyone close to the crane to estimate the load’s distance, mass, and dimensions making it easier and safer to move around when the crane is working.

For Operators:

The biggest benefit for the operator is the increased comfort of work. Being able to more accurately assess the exact position of the load makes the whole work of crane operators much easier. Thanks to the safety sign they can worry less about people failing to notice the load and can focus more on their daily duties.
